Preface

Our goal is to help you reach your goals as painlessly and easily as possible.

You want to break away from the daily grind of 9 to 5 and be your own boss. We want that too. But be prepared to work more than 8 hours a day, seven days a week, until you succeed.

It is not as big a sacrifice as you may think, because working for yourself can bring financial security, pleasure and many other rewards.

You are a good candidate as an innkeeper if you see yourself as a jack of all trades.  You will likely be remodeling and furnishing rooms, cooking and cleaning, marketing, bookkeeping, taking customer orders over the phone, and dealing with local and state laws, to name a few tasks. Do it yourself will be the rule of the day.

Do not worry if you do not know how to do all of the above, so long as you are willing to learn and have a strong desire to succeed, then there will be no stopping you.

The greatest fear is fear itself. We cover all the basic requirements and at a minumum we give you enough information so that you will know how to proceed to the next level.  Use this guide as a guide not an authority.  Find out what questions to ask and get some ideas about how to solve many of the most common tasks.

By the time you finish this eBook, you will know if you want to become and innkeeper and how to reach that goal.  Your next step will be to buy a good book with more current and specific guide lines and to visit B&B forums and ask a lot of questions.

PS. This is a work in progress so check back often. Also, give us some feedback and we will include your questions or comments in our content.  If your submission is significant we will credit it to you and give you a link.
